COCISD now offers a way for parents/guardians to report a student's absence or change of transportation for the day by email. Parents/guardians who wish to use this service must have a valid email address documented at the campus. Transportation changes must be received no later than 2 p.m. the day of the change.
To report a student's absence or transportation change by email, include the following information:
The student's first and last name (no nicknames)
Date(s) of the absence OR date of the transportation change
If you are reporting an absence, include the reason for the absence
Parent/guardian's first and last name
Failure to include the above information will result in an invalid absence notification or transportation change.

March 4-8 is Educational Diagnosticians' Week. Diagnosticians are responsible for testing students to determine the need for special education services. They also play a huge role in developing educational plans for students identified with special education needs. We are blessed at COCISD to have two wonderful diagnosticians who serve the needs of our students, Jennifer Rudloff and Sheila Deason, to serve the students and families of our district.
